1. Who we are

ELK Cargo operates elkcargo.autos, a platform for exporting new and used vehicles from China to Ghana. We have teams in Guangzhou and Accra. By using this site you agree to these terms.

2. Estimates, not final figures

Landed-cost figures, duty calculations and ELK Scores shown on this site are estimates prepared in good faith from current exchange rates, shipping costs and published duty structures. Final import duty is determined solely by Ghana Customs through ICUMS at clearance, and exchange rates move between quote and payment. A listed or calculated price is an estimate, not a binding offer; the binding price is the one we confirm to you directly when you reserve.

3. Listings and availability

Cars are listed by verified dealers and by ELK Cargo itself. Every listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live, but specifications and history are supplied by the listing dealer. Availability changes quickly; confirm a specific car with us on WhatsApp before making any commitment.

4. Reservations and deposits

Reserving a car requires a refundable deposit, which locks the car to you. Before anything ships, we send a full inspection report with photos and video for your sign-off. The remaining balance is due on delivery, at Tema or to your door in Ghana. Deposit amounts, refund handling and shipping windows are confirmed per transaction on WhatsApp before you pay anything.

5. Paid independent inspections

You may order an independent inspection of a specific listed car for the fee shown at the time of payment. Payment is processed by Paystack; we do not see or store your card or mobile-money details. The fee covers the inspection and report on that specific car and is separate from any deposit. If we cannot carry out a paid inspection, we will contact you on WhatsApp to resolve it.

6. Dealer accounts

Dealers must provide accurate contact details and keep one account: one real dealer, one phone number, one account. We may reject a registration that duplicates an existing account.

Listings must describe the real car accurately, including mileage, accident history and documents. We review every submission and may reject or remove a listing at our discretion, with a reason where practical. Approved listings are locked; contact us to change price or details. By uploading photos and specifications you allow us to display them on the platform and in share previews.

7. Chat assistant

The website chat assistant answers from our live inventory and duty engine. Its replies are informational estimates, not offers or contractual commitments, and it may make mistakes. Anything transactional (price confirmation, negotiation, complaints) is handled by our human team on WhatsApp.

8. Warranties

We do not publish a standing warranty or returns policy. What we commit to on a given car (inspection report, condition disclosures, delivery terms) is agreed per transaction in writing on WhatsApp before you pay. Cars are used vehicles unless stated otherwise; the inspection report exists so you can judge condition before shipping.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, ELK Cargo is not liable for losses caused by customs decisions, exchange-rate movements, shipping delays outside our control, or inaccuracies in dealer-supplied information that our review could not reasonably catch. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Ghanaian law.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the platform evolves; the date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions about these terms: message us on WhatsApp and the Accra team will respond.
