Pay a deposit. Repay the rest monthly.
Our partner banks finance the full landed cost of a car imported through ELK Cargo: the car, freight, duty and clearing at Tema. You put down a deposit; the bank pays the rest against our invoice, and you repay the bank monthly.

Questions
Does ELK Cargo lend me the money?
No. The loan is between you and the bank. ELK supplies the invoice and documents the bank needs, and handles the import. We do not lend, and we do not decide who is approved.
What does the bank finance?
The full landed cost on your quote: the car, ocean freight, Ghana duty and clearing at Tema. You pay the deposit; the bank pays the rest directly against ELK's invoice.
How is the interest rate set?
Partner rates are the Ghana Reference Rate plus the bank's margin. The GRR is republished every month, so the rate, and your repayment, can move over the life of the loan. The figures on this page use the GRR shown beside them.
What if the duty comes out different?
The duty in your quote is ELK's estimate. Ghana Customs assesses the final figure when the car arrives at Tema. If it differs, we tell you before the car is released.
Can my business apply?
Yes. Both partner banks lend to businesses as well as individuals; the bank decides which of its products fits. Say so on the application and we will route it accordingly.
