New duty rates at Tema: what changed

Ghana's 2026 import duty schedule keeps the same body-type structure as last year — sedans up to 1900cc still sit at the lowest band, while SUVs and larger-engine sedans are taxed at the higher rate.

What changed is the levy stack on top of duty: the combined NHIL, GETFund and COVID levy now applies to the duty-inclusive value rather than CIF alone, which raises the effective rate slightly for every vehicle class.
